The match-ups for the first knockout stage of the Champions League were drawn today. These are the results.....

Porto v Chelsea
Celtic
v AC Milan
PSV Eindhoven
v Arsenal
Lille
v Manchester United
Roma
v Lyon
Barcelona
v Liverpool
Real Madrid
v Bayern Munich
Inter Milan
v Valencia

A few interesting match-ups. In particular, Barcelona v Liverpool should be a good one. Games will be played on February 20/21 and March 6/7.

A few interesting match-ups? Actually I think these match-ups are about as uninteresting as it gets... I'm looking forward to Real Madrid v Bayern München though.

From an Italians team perspective, the draw (on a scale of 1 to 10) was favourable as follows, in my opinion:
Porto v Chelsea
Celtic v AC Milan (8/10)
PSV Eindhoven v Arsenal
Lille v Manchester United
(4/10)Roma v Lyon
(I'm afraid it all ends here for Roma...still, should be an entertaining duel)
Barcelona v Liverpool
Real Madrid v Bayern Munich
(6.5/10)Inter Milan v Valencia

A few interesting match-ups. In particular, Barcelona v Liverpool should be a good one. Games will be played on February 20/21 and March 6/7.

No.

They will lose but the press will play this out of proportion in England.

Pretty shite draw. I look forwardto Barcelona battering Liverpool to annoy all Liverpool supporting mates of mine. Should be great.

Joey, you're right about the whole Porto/Mourinho thing. I may try and get out of the country for the amount of bullshit thats gonna be in the media.

I agree with all the winners posted by Hooligans. Celtic will be the surprise result of the round of 16.

Totally agree with your predictions!!!!!! I think the toughest match is for Real Madrid, i think they have never won in Germany and will be interesting the arsenal-psv matches, i think any of one could win this one but have to give the edge to the experience arsenal!!!!

<H1>Wenger bemoans 'tough' draw
Arsene Wenger maintains Arsenal have not been granted an easy draw, against PSV Eindhoven in the last 16 of the Champions League.

While Liverpool were paired with defending champions Barcelona and Celtic must take on Italian giants AC Milan, both Manchester United - who will play Lille - and the Gunners seem to have been handed a favourable tie.

'The draw was not kind and not unkind,' Wenger told reporters this afternoon.

'PSV have experience of this level. They dominate Dutch football and every year now they are in the last 16, quarter-final, semi-final even of the Champions League against Milan.

'So it is a tough draw.'

Wenger is a nice guy, but he's fucking delusional sometimes.
